As your landlord, we have a legal responsibility to ensure that gas appliances, pipework and flues are maintained in a safe condition. For the Association to remain compliant, an Annual Gas Safety check is carried out by a City Technical Services Gas Safe Engineer. Our aim is to have all the Annual Gas Safety checks completed within 10 months to allow time for replacement parts or access issues.
We are fully aware that many tenants will require time off work to allow the engineer access for the check to be carried out and we appreciate your co-operation in making your living environment safe. However, as it is a legal obligation for the Association to gain entry it is also a condition of your tenancy agreement to ensure that access is given within the year since its last service.
On completion of the Annual Gas Safety Check, you will be issued with a copy of the gas safety certificate for your own reference.
